WBPSC Clerkship Part-I Exam Pattern 2019
♦ WB Clerkship is an Objective type Examination.
♦ The Papers Consists of 100 multiple-choice questions.
♦ Each question carries one mark.
♦ The Exam duration is 1 hours 30 minutes.
The examination will consist of only one paper containing 100 Multiple choice objective type questions carrying 1 marks each on General Studies (40 marks) and Arithmetic (30 marks), English (30 marks) and having 1½ hours duration.
WBPSC Clerkship Part-II Exam Pattern 2019
Part-II shall consist of conventional type questions on a) Group-A: English b) Group-B:Bengali/Hindi/Urdu/Nepali/Santali carrying 50 marks each for Gr-A and Gr-B. The duration of Part-II examination shall be 1 hour.

♦ Drafting of a report in English from points or materials supplied;
♦ Condensing of a prose passage (Summary/Precis);
♦ Translation from Bengali/Hindi/Urdu/Nepali/Santali, as the case may be, into English;
Part-II (Group-A): Bengali/Hindi/Urdu/Nepali/Santali
♦ Drafting of a report in English from points or materials supplied;
♦ Condensing of a prose passage (Summary/Precis);
♦ Translation from English into Bengali/Hindi/Urdu/Nepali/Santali, as the case may be;
English: Fundamentals of the English language such as vocabulary, grammer,sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms and its correct usage etc.
General Studies: Matters of everyday observation including everyday science, current events and problems with special reference to India and elementary knowledge of Indian History and Indian Geography.
Arithmetic: Divisibility, fractions,decimals, recurring decimals, simplification, HCF, LCM, Partnership, Average, Ratio and proportions, simple interest, profit & loss, time & distance, are of rectangles and squares.
