Selection Criteria For Kalyani Mahavidyalaya Admission 2020
Honours Course: A minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination. For BBA 55% marks in the aggregate from any discipline.
Major/Vocation Course: For these Courses a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate at the previous qualifying Exam.
General Course: For these Courses, a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate at the previous qualifying Exam.
However, Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe or OBC-A or OBC-B Community taking up Honours/Major/Vocation Course of Study must have obtained a minimum of 40% marks in the aggregate at the previous qualifying examination, as the case may be.
The formula for merit list preparation:
For General Courses: As per University Norms. (Excepting B.Com general)
For Honours Courses: Best of four + Subject Concerned. (Best of four = Marks secured in four subjects [full marks being not less than 100] in which a candidate has secured highest marks. Subject Concerned = the subject in which student applying for Honours. Compulsory environment studies paper shall not be considered.
An application fee of Rs 200/- (Approx) excluding bank charges is to be paid online for each application, failing of which the application will not be considered. Detail about the mode of payment and bank charges will be displayed at the time of submission of the form.
Reservation of seats:
The number of Reserved seats for Scheduled Caste (22%), Scheduled Tribe (6%), OBC-A & OBC-B (as per Govt. norms)are shown against each Honours subject. For Physically Challenged candidates 3% of seats are reserved in each category.

kalyani Mahavidyalaya Admission 2020 – Merit List For B.A, B.SC, B.com Hons & Gen Course
Admission will be strictly on the basis of merit. Merit list will be prepared uniformly on the basis of the following criteria:
(i) In case of Honours courses: Aggregate (as per previous explanation) plus the marks obtained in the subject in which he/she intends to take up honors or related subject. However, students who avail themselves of Rule 3(III) will not get the benefit of ‘related subject’.
(ii) In case of Major and General courses: Merit list will be prepared on the basis of aggregate.
Publication Of Merit List:
For admission to the Honours courses complete list of all applicants according to merit to be published in the first instance and admission be done preferably through counseling in accordance with the intake capacity.
