Eligibility Criteria for Eastern Railway 1201 Apprentice Recruitment 2022

Educational Qualification:

(i)The candidate must have passed 10th class examination or its equivalent (under 10+2 examination system) with minimum 50% marks, in aggregate, from recognized Board and also should possess the National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by NCVT/SCVT.
(ii) However, for the following Trades the minimum educational qualification is 8th class pass from recognized School and the National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by NCVT/SCVT:
1. Welder (Gas and Electric),
2. Sheet Metal Worker,
3. Lineman
4. Wireman
5. Carpenter
6. Painter (General)

Age Limit & Relaxation: The candidates should have completed 15 years of age and should not have completed 24 years of age. The age as recorded in the Matriculation certificate issued from a Government Recognized Authority shall only be reckoned for the purpose.
Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years in case of SC/ST candidates, 3 years in case of OBC-NCL candidates and 10 years for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PWBD) candidates.

Medical Fitness:(i) A person shall be eligible for being trained under the Apprentice Act, 1961 and the Apprenticeship Rules, 1992, as amended from time to time, if he or she satisfies the minimum standards of physical fitness as prescribed in the aforesaid act and rules.

(ii) In accordance with Railway Board letter No. E(MPP)/2009/6/14, candidates have to bring a medical certificate at the time of document verification in a prescribed format as per Apprentice Act, 1961 and para 4 of Apprenticeship rules, 1992 (as amended from time to time).

(iii) The medical certificate should be signed by Government authorized doctor (Gaz), not below the rank of Asst. Surgeon of Central/State Hospital. The format of such certificate will be as uploaded in the website of Railway Recruitment Cell, Eastern Railway-www.rrcer.com.

Mode of Selection: selection of a candidate for training slot of a unit of Eastern Railway will be on the basic of merit prepared in respect of all eligible candidates, who apply against the notification. Merit list (trade/unit, community wise) will be prepared on the basic of data/details filled up by candidates in the online application form. If any candidate fills up the wrong details then his/her candidature will be cancelled as soon as the discrepancy comes in the notice of Railway admission.

Educational Qualification: Matriculation (Matriculate or 10th Class in 10+2 examination system) from a recognized Board with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (excluding additional subjects) and an ITI Pass certificate (in the trade in which Apprenticeship is to be done) granted by the NCVT.

Age Limit: The candidates should have completed 15 years of age and should not have completed 24 years of age as on 01/01/2021.

Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years in case of SC/ST candidates, 3 years in case of OBC candidates and 10 years for Persons With Disabilities (PWD) candidates.

Application Fee: The applicants need to pay of Rs.100/- (non-refundable) only. No fee, however, is to be paid by the SC/ST/PWD/Women candidates).
