Selection Criteria For City College Admission 2022- Apply Online For B.A, B.SC, B.com Hons & Gen Course
Educational Qualification:
Hons: A minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination. For BBA 55% marks in the aggregate from any discipline.
Major/Vocation: For these Courses a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate at the previous qualifying Exam.
General/Diploma/Advanced Diploma: For these Courses, a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate at the previous qualifying Exam.
However, Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe or OBC-A or OBC-B Community taking up Honours/Major/Vocation Course of Study must have obtained a minimum of 40% marks in the aggregate at the previous qualifying examination, as the case may be.
Calculation of Aggregate:
Aggregate marks mean the sum of marks obtained in best scored four subjects in (+2) stage Exam as per Calcutta University norms. Any application not satisfying the Admission criteria is liable to be canceled.
The formula for merit list preparation:
For General Courses: As per University Norms. (Excepting B.Com general)
For Honours Courses: Best of four + Subject Concerned. (Best of four = Marks secured in four subjects [full marks being not less than 100] in which a candidate has secured highest marks. Subject Concerned = the subject in which student applying for Honours. Compulsory environment studies paper shall not be considered.
Application Fee:
Deposition of an application fee of Rs. 200/- (Approx) plus admissible bank charges through State Bank of India online service will commence on and from 00.00.2019 and continue up to update soon . The applicants may deposit the said amount through net banking or in cash to any branch of SBI by generating the Challan through SBI online portal.

Candidates can apply to access the website http://www.citycollegekolkata.org only. The candidates must provide all the necessary details while filling up the ONLINE FORM. Candidates are asked to take a print of the online application form after successful submission of data. The processing fee of Rs. 200/- (Approx) for each Application Form should be paid ONLINE within the specified time to be intimated on the website. The details of the fees to be paid at the time an of admission will be informed later. No application will be considered for admission without payment of Processing Fee. The Applicant’s Copy of the printed downloaded Application Form complete in all respect should be produced at the time of admission if selected.
