Educational Qualification:
As per University norms, for admission to BA, BSC it is mandatory to pass HS / ISC / CBSE / NIOS or any equivalent examination of approved Boards. For admission to any Hons course, an applicant must secure (i) 50% in each best four subjects together with minimum 45% in the subject sought for Hons OR (ii) a minimum of 55% in the subject sought for Hons. (Note that 5% relaxation is allowed to SC/ST applicants in every case). For Hons in Economics, passing in Mathematics is necessary. Those who have passed with a minimum 50% in Mathematics in the Science group, they may apply for Hons in Accountancy.

Reservation of Seats:
The percentage of seats in all courses for SC/ST and Physically Handicapped candidates as per W.B. Govt. rules is SC candidates 22%, ST candidates 6%, OBC-A candidates 5%, OBC-B candidates 4% and Physically Handicapped candidates 1%.

Counselling will be held on the basis of Merit list. Merit listed candidates are advised to bring their print copy of Application Form, Application Fee receipt, HS & Madhyamik Mark Sheets (original & Xerox) & Caste Certificate at the time of Counselling cum Admission.
